By Evangelist John F.SaxburryIII
I see on an every day basis people in the body of Christ living their every day lives with little or no accountability especially in the ministry. The fact is we must realize that one day we will have to give an account for everything we did here on earth. We must take an account that being accountability must never be condescending or being judgemental or condemning it should always be about the love you have for that person to make sure they don't go in a direction that will have catastrophic results.Your pastor should never be your worst enemy he or she should be one of your best friends that you can trust with your life and know they have your back no matter what because they have a strong foundation in the word of God.It is important to have someone besides ourselves people with no accountability especially in ministry are the blind leading the blind. When Jesus said to go make disciples of all nations he was saying be accountable when doing so to a church home so that we can have stability in our everyday life
Being accountable means the following
1.Fellowship with people who are in fellowship with God
2.Having a relationship with a church body of believers
3.Have a strong prayer life
4. Have a foundation in the Word of God
5.Self discipline
6. Obedience to God
7.Be willing to change and always humble yourself
Hebrews 13:17
Salute them that have rule over you, Submit yourselves; For they have watch for your soul, As they must give account. That they may too do it with Joy,and not with grief:For that is profitable to you
(Be willing to let others help you)
Stop playing the Lone Ranger Christian by hiding from Godly Council let somebody help you grow in the things of God
How to make yourself accountable
1.Develop a relationship with a church pastor if you do not have a church contact one or get a hold of me i have several i can direct you to for an appointment to seek Godly council
2. Be careful of who you hang around ,A person who is drowning will drown you to keep from drowning
3. Get planted in a secure church home that has a strong foundation in the Word of God and never forsake gathering in an assembly of fellowship on a weekly basis
4. Seek Godly council before making big decisions
5.Be Willing to change
6.Pray
7.Rejoice no matter what happens, be a Paul and Silas
